| Description: | Aangan is an NGO that works with vulnerable girls across India to build safer communities and prevent harm before it happens. The brief was to tell Aangan's story and create awareness, to highlight the early warning signs of child abuse. The goal was to raise awareness and spark action among parents, teachers, frontline workers, and policymakers. The campaign focused on empathy, not fear. Instead of using shock value, the design centered on storytelling, using the girls' own words and perspectives. A narrative-driven PSA film combined illustrated cues, subtle animation, and poetic on-screen copy to bring these stories to life. Every design choice - from color to composition, was made with care to feel respectful, clear, and inclusive. The film was designed in a way that its visuals could be easily extended into toolkits, workshops, and school outreach materials helped carry the message into communities, turning awareness into action. These were designed to be easy to use, translate, and share. The impact was meaningful. In target districts, the campaign helped increase early reporting and strengthened local networks of support. By listening first, and designing with purpose, this project helped create real change at the grassroots level. |
