Description: When a creative studio moved into a new space, they didn’t want a chandelier, they wanted a symbol. One that would quietly float above the table where ideas were born. The result was Mother Manta — a 9-foot-wide luminaire shaped like a manta ray, made entirely from salvaged materials for under ₹20,000.

With vendor quotes starting at ₹1.5–3 lakhs, the studio turned inward. They built the structure themselves from discarded cane furniture, raw bamboo soaked in hot water and bent by hand, nails and adhesive and basic electricals wired by a local electrician. No machines. No renderings. No production houses. Just hands, heat, and belief.

What emerged was more than lighting. It became a living sculpture — floating, glowing, and awakening awe. Built in 20 days without compromise on scale or beauty, it’s proof that good design doesn’t require big money — only big intention.

Mother Manta wasn’t fabricated. It is one of it's kind, a spectacle that inspires, defines and pushes creatives to believe.
